Linking out to primary sources
Every citation in our reference lists carries up to three identifiers when available: a PubMed ID (PMID), a Digital Object Identifier (DOI), and a ClinicalTrials.gov NCT number. Where present, identifiers link directly to:
- PMID →
pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/<PMID>/ - DOI →
doi.org/<DOI> - NCT →
clinicaltrials.gov/study/<NCT-ID>
Citation style on Peptides Research Hub
We use a modified Vancouver style. The reference block at the bottom of each article lists numbered citations in the order they appear in the prose. In-text references are superscripted bracket numbers that link to the corresponding entry. Each entry shows authors, title, journal, year, identifiers, and an evidence tier badge.

If you reference one of our articles in your own work, please link to the canonical URL and include the “Last reviewed” date that appears in the article byline. Example:

We are an editorial reference, not a primary research source. Where possible, prefer citing the underlying primary literature linked from the article over citing the Peptides Research Hub page directly.
